As you already know your health problems do play a factor in your hair problems. However when you say thinning at the edges do you mean around the temple areas and forehead or at the ends ie bottom of your hair. If it is at the temple the problem could be caused by pulling your hair back in a ponytail or braiding the tension caused by these practices will break the hair shafts and cause breakage. So either don’t do them or take your hair down at least every other day if you wear these styles often. If it is at the ends frequent trimming and conditoning is good. You also must maintain your diet and medication properly that is necessary regardless of your hairstyle. Take care of yourself from the inside out. Good luck to you.
