Who has ever been on the Candida Diet?
KG asked:
Have any of you ever been on the Candida Diet? If so did you loose weight? I am not on this diet to loose weight. I actually do not need to loose weight, but was told I may loose 10 - 20 pounds in the next three months I am on this diet.

How healthy is this diet?
The Candida Diet is nothing like the Atkins Diet, South Beach Diet, Weight Watchers, or any of that. This diet consists of you NOT eating any carbs, sugars (that means no alcohol, fruits, any pre-made foods, condiments, etc.), diary (unless it is plain low-fat yogurt…YUCK), and excess fat. I feel as if all I will be eating are greens and lemon juice with water for 3 months.
I was also told that I may get depressed and feel overwhelmed!
Any ideas?

3 years ago I started a Candida diet and it was the best eating I could have ever started! It is very difficult at first because your body wants the carbs so bad. (Carbs turn into sugar in the body and its a quick way for your body to get energy). Thats where the moodyness comes in and you will be tired for the first 3 weeks or so almost like a terrible withdrawl to sugar.
You are eating this way to force your body into taking from its reserves (the fat) and it will absolutely work for you if you can stick with it! It took my 6 months of following the eating plan and I went from 210 to 145lbs!
There are all sorts of sites on eating natural on the web and many devoted to not eating the “whites” (flour, sugar, rice, milk). You will find information on vitamin supplements you should take and recipies.
It isnt a diet, it is a lifestyle choice- ha ha or thats what I call it. I still follow the no whites but do have a piece of fruit each day, I now exercise daily and am just very happy to not be fat. I was very sad for a long time about it and glad I finally had had enough!
Its hard but you can totally get through it!
I went out and bought a pair of jeans that were to tight and put them on each week until they fit. Then went out and picked up another pair. After 3 months I bought a vacation and worked towards that. I went on the scale only twice- once when I started and the day before I left on my holiday. The scale is brutal!!! Go on how your clothes fit and the smaller sizes you will be falling into!!
GOOD LUCK!
